Succeeding at ASU may sound hard to many but may sound easy to others. There are many things to help you stay successful at ASU. The obvious is getting good grades and attend class in order to obtain those good grades. The transition from High School to College is a big one. This transition is not like from middle school to high school. In this transition you have a lot more freedom. Good thing or bad thing? It can go both ways. Its good if you are good at managing time and good at making your own rules for school. Its bad in the sense that you will not have a teacher to tell you to do your work, you will not have a dean telling you to attend class. Many students think that the freedom means they can just ditch class and do whatever they like; WRONG!! To succeed at ASU you must attend class on a regular basis even though according to Afsaneh Nahavandi “ there is no attendance policy at ASU”. Another thing you must do that is really important is balance your time. That means that you must know when it is time to go out and have fun and when it is time to hit the books and study. If you cannot balance your time you are in trouble. Also don’t forget there is free tutoring offered at all ASU campuses , take advantage of the tutor for they can help you with what you need. One last thing get involved in clubs and organizations so that you can connect with students at ASU. Like Afsaneh Nahavandi said “take charge of your success at ASU…ITS UP TO YOU!”
